First trip down south

Was in Birmingham, Alabama for the whole of last week. Interesting... was tickled by the slang that they had. So far I've only heard it on tv and to actually look at the people while it's rolling out of their tongue... tickled.

Was there for training that our corporate specially made for all the management staff. The title "Casting Excellence Leadership Training". Basically the same old stuff... teach you how to better manage your time, to communicate, to be a good leader, remind you to t-h-i-n-k before you do anything, memorization techniques etc. Generally, was a good thing. However, being there for 8-hours a day is not very pleasant. I did enjoy meeting a lot of the other folks from the different plants and from different areas of the business. Canadians... cheers to you folks... eh?
